Course Levels
A1 (Beginner): Learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and simple sentences. You will develop the basic vocabulary and structures you need for simple conversations and everyday situations.
A2 (Elementary): Learn to understand commonly used senences and expressions and communicate in simple, routine situations.
B1 (Intermediate): Develop the skills to take part in conversations about familiar topics such as work and school and communicate confidently in everyday situations.
B2 (Upper Intermediate): Learn to understand the main ides of more complex texts and communicate with greater fluency and confidence.
C1 (Advanced): Develop the ability to express yourself fluently and to understand long, demanding texts across a wide range of topics.

3-day preparation courses for the ÖIF exam
Do you need quick and focused preparation for your ÖIF exam at levels A1, A2, B1 or B2?
We offer intensive 3-day preparation courses. In these courses, we explain the exam procedure in detail, show you how it is structured, point out important details and, after a test run, discuss the solutions in summary form.
In an exam preparation course, you will take a practice-oriented model test that corresponds to the A1, A2, B1 or B2 level you have reached and takes place under real-time conditions, similar to the ÖIF integration exam.
All ÖIF exams consist of a written and an oral part and have a similar structure.

The written part of the exam lasts a total of 1 hour and 50 minutes and is divided into questions on language components (10 min), listening comprehension (15 min), reading comprehension and writing (45 min) and knowledge of values and orientation (40 min). ÖIF A2-Exam:

ÖIF B1-Exam:
The written part of the B1 exam takes about 2 hours. It consists of listening comprehension (12 min), reading comprehension (40 min), writing (25 min) and knowledge of values and orientation (40 min). Here, too, you have to answer true/false and multiple choice questions and write your own text. The oral part of the exam lasts 16 minutes and must be spoken in front of two examiners.
ÖIF B2-Exam:
As part of the B2 exam, you first have to complete a written part and then an oral part. The written part comprises several tasks lasting approx. 2.5 hours. In this part, you will be tested on reading and language elements (90 min.), listening (30 min.) and writing (30 min.). You will be given matching tasks, multiple choice and true/false questions to solve. The oral part takes place with 2 participants and lasts 15 to 25 minutes per pair test. You will first introduce yourself to your 2 examiners and then have to give a presentation, discuss and solve a problem on a selected topic. A preparation time of 20 minutes is allowed for the oral examination, whereby the use of a monolingual dictionary is permitted.
